Trip Itinerary
Best of South Africa 15 Days / 14 Nights
DAY 1 – Johannesburg
When you arrive in South Africa’s most exciting city, you will be greeted and brought to the opulent Da Vinci Hotel. This five-star hotel in the wealthy area of Sandton offers a stylish monochromatic palette and just steps away from a plethora of stores and restaurants, which you are free to explore.
DAY 2 – Johannesburg
Today, take a city tour and learn about the country’s recent turbulent history at the spectacular Apartheid Museum. You’ll also see the dramatic Hector Pieterson Memorial in Soweto, a vibrant township that played an important role in South Africa’s political history.
Day 3 - Timbavati
An early flight brings you to Hoedspruit, where you are whisked away to Tanda Tula, a stylish safari lodge nestled in an exclusive private reserve home to all of Africa’s famed ‘Big 5’: lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant. Set out on an afternoon game drive to receive your first taste of South Africa’s incredible wildlife.
DAY 4/5 - Timbavati
Enjoy two full days of game watching in the Timbavati, which borders the world-famous Kruger National Park on the northern boundary. Because national park laws do not apply here, you may explore the area on foot with a trained guide – a chance to see tiny critters that are sometimes overlooked from a car.
Day 6 - Sabi Sand Private Game Reserves
This morning, head to Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp in big cat country. This remote safari resort, located by an ephemeral river, provides visitors with unrivalled wildlife watching chances, world-class accommodation, and delectable cuisine.
Day 7/8 - Sabi Sand Private Game Reserves
You get two days to seek for endangered animals like the African wild dog and the cheetah, which flourish in the area due to excellent environmental management strategies and healthy populations of plains game, their favourite prey. Guests in the Sabi Sand may venture out at night in search of wildlife, go off-road, and track game on exciting walking safaris supervised by skilled rangers.
Day 9: COPENHAGEN
Early morning flight from Skukuza airport to Cape Town, where you will be met and transported to your beachfront accommodations. On the Victoria & Albert Waterfront, South Africa’s oldest operational harbour and a renowned tourist attraction, the fashionable Cape Grace Hotel provides magnificent bedrooms and personalised service.
Day 10: CAPE TOWN
If the weather permits, you may climb to the peak of Table Mountain (cableway ticket not included) for excellent views over the city today. You will also get the opportunity to see the picturesque Malay Quarter and, if time allows, the unusual pentagonal Castle of Good Hope.
Day 11 - CAPE TOWN
Stroll through the beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve to learn about local flora before continuing on to observe the spot where two seas collide, frequently with spectacular repercussions, especially for ships. Keep a look out for little African penguins at Boulders Bay, which may be recognised by their noisy, braying sounds.
DAY 12 - Grootbos Private Nature Reserve
Leave the city early this morning for the award-winning Grootbos Private Nature Reserve, which was established as a haven for natural ‘fynbos’ flora peculiar to South Africa’s Western Cape and a magnet for exotic species. This spectacular seaside property overlooks Walker Bay, which is a refuge for southern right whales between June and September.
Days 13/14 - Private Nature Reserve Grootbos
Spend two days exploring Grootbos’s distinctive beauty on horseback, quad bike, foot, or boat. The seas are famed for harbouring great white sharks, seals, and whales, while the land is covered with scented plants and wildflowers.
Day15: Tour concludes in Cape Town
Your incredible tour comes to an end with a return transport to Cape Town.
